Why a collar's best place is in a museum.

Perhaps you also noticed this: formerly, dogs almost only worn collars and it was an evidence. No one questioned this.
This tradition still remains over the time, as dogs still shelter our sheep. Back then, the collar was a protection of the sensitive throat area to prevent from the assaults of the wolves. Often made with spikes, which makes full sense.
Nowadays, we know that pulling on a collar through a leash can cause major injuries.

Injuries can also happen when the dog get wrapped around the leash. Spine, larynx, thyroid, trachea and sensitive connective tissues can be seriously damaged for example. The consequences might be fatal and can lead on whiplash injury, cartilage damage, larynx haemorrhage, headache, hazy vision, nausea and even inducing an agressive behaviour; which frequently happens to dogs wearing a collar.
