No. At least for most dogs, the city is definitely a place where they can really feel at home. |

Unless the dog is a herd guard dog, which has a very strong urge to be free. Smaller dogs are therefore generally better suited to life in the city.
But what is most important is at the other end of the leash anyway. It depends very much on the owner whether a dog can also feel comfortable in the midst of many pedestrians and car noise. |

How it works in your Neighbourhood
We recommend that you consider a few additional things. |

For example, the dog should be very well socialised.
After all, when you go for a walk outside, you will meet many other dogs and people you don't know.
The barking instinct can also become a problem in the neighbourhood. In this case, work with your dog to keep the barking under control as much as possible. |

| And especially small dogs don't have much to laugh about when climbing stairs. Help them with the high steps. This spares your four-legged friend's joints. |

Keep in mind that it often gets very hot in the cities in summer. In the heat months, postpone your walks to the morning and evening hours.

In general, it is advisable to pay special attention to the temperament of city dogs. Be more protective of skittish dogs and don't subject them to too many stimuli. |
