Magnets help in everyday life. That's how they work.

Magnets enrich and simplify our everyday life. They can do a lot more than look pretty at the fridge. Magnets also play an important role in curli products.
That’s why magnetism is the topic of this newsletter and we hope it will be interesting and educational for you.
The discovery of a new force.
The first discovery of magnetic forces dates back to around 500 BC. At that time, Greeks observed electrical and magnetic attraction and repulsion forces. The philosopher Thales von Milet described in ancient Greece the force of stones from the city of Magnesia on iron particles. The city has also given the Phenomen its name. But the physical and mathematical explanation of the forces took place only in 1864 by the physicist James Clerk Maxwell.
This is how a magnet works.
A magnet always consists of a north pole and a south pole, the so-called magnetic poles. If two magnets are held together, two things can happen: They repel or attract each other. This simple and extremely practical effect gave us the idea to integrate two Magnetic D-Rings when developing the Magnetic Vest harness Air-Mesh. Thanks to them, one can put the dog on and off the leash with only one hand.
We hope that this newsletter was educational for you. For questions about our products or the materials used, we are always happy to help.
Have a great day!
